I’ve been fretting about the end of the decade. I can’t resist the urge to list things! So here it is: the 15×15 Naughties (aka “00s” or “aughts”)!
NAQ (Not Asked Questions) Q. What the F is 15×15? A. 225! … It’s also the format I’ve landed on for my summing up the decade in music. I don’t have the time or will to list my 100 or whatever favorite albums of the decade, and I hesitate to use that format anyway because there is a ridiculous amount of stuff I haven’t listened to.
Q. So… 15×15?
A. Oh yeah, I’m going to post 15 lists of 15 songs that I’m going to remember the Naughties by. The lists will mostly be themed: artists, genres, trends, etc.
Q. Why 15?
A. 15 songs because that’s about how long I feel a “mix cd” if such things were used anymore, should be. And 15 lists because… well, there’s no good reason for that. In fact, I may very well do less or more than 15, but are you really going to keep track?
